Last night

My team...
WON IT ALL.

That's right.
On October 29, 2008, the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series.
A recap of the series:
Game One - Chase Utley got the game started right with a 2-run homer in the first game of the series, and they didn't look back at all. Seven strong innings were turned in by ace, Cole Hamels, and the Phillies got the win.
Game Two - Although Brett Myers pitched very well, the Rays capitalized when they had runners on and won 4-2. Eric Bruntlett homered.
Game Three - Jamie Moyer is not forty-six, I swear. He pitched spectacularly, and was backed by two home runs from the big men that needed to get going - Utley and Howard. Carlos Ruiz also had a solo shot during the game.
Game Four - Joe Blanton hit a home run. Jayson Werth hit a home run. Ryan Howard hit two. The Phillies won 10-2.
Game Five - We had to battle the elements. Cole Hamels pitched six spectacular innings, giving up only two runs before the game was delayed with the scored all tied up at 2-2. The game didn't resume till Wednesday. To start that off, Geoff Jenkins pinch hit, and got a double. Jimmy then bunted him over and Jayson got a single. Hollller. Then Maddy gave up a homer to Rocco Baldelli, therefore taking away the chance at a win for Cole.
Pat led off the 7th with a double, and Pedro scored Brunt, the pinch runner.
Top of the ninth, and we all know what that means - LIGHTS OUT LIDGE TIME :D. Lidge struck out the first batter, gave up a hit, got a line out, then struck out Eric Hinske to end the game. Most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

Parade tomorrow, you know. Going to be fun and crazy :D

Oh God.

I fail at life.
I said I was going to update this everyday, but I haven't.

LET'S DO THIS.
(If you've ever listened to the Academy Is..., and watched TAITV, picture the Butcher saying that in "Fury In Philly".)

The Phillies are going to the World Series.
The night seemed perfect for a clinch - two young pitchers on the mound, one already a winner of two games in the postseason. The other, the future ace of the Dodgers.

Jimmy Rollins started the game off by homering to right, same as he did for the NLDS clinching game against the Brewers. It was practically an identical at-bat, as well. Rollins was down in the count 0-2, but he fought back to make it 3-2. With a full count, Rollins swung, and the ball was out. Hamels worked out of a few jams, with much thanks going to Blake Dewitt, who seemed to come up every time the Dodgers had a scoring opportunity. His inning-ending double play was huge in the bottom of the second, as Cole Hamels seemed to lock down after that. The same could not be said of Chad Billingsley, starter for the Dodgers. In the third, he faced Rollins and Chase Utley, and gave them both free passes. After back-to-back RBI singles by Ryan Howard and Pat Burrell, Billingsley intentionally walked the dangerous Shane Victorino, and was subsequently pulled by Joe Torre.

I'm bringing Sassyback

Last night was the Sassyback Tour (and my fifteenth birthday!)
My mom drove Charlene and me down to the Troc at like 4:30.
And we stood around, and around 5ish, Caleb was walking around.
He got mobbed, no lie.
So, me and Charlene waited for a little bit, then went over to him.
And right before I get my picture with him, Charlene yells "IT'S HER BIRTHDAY!"
And we were already posing for the picture, so he like, turns me toward him, and looks down at me and goes "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!". I cheesed so bad, I looked Asian. But our picture is cute :D
Then we waited for a few more people to get their pictures with him, and Charlene goes and poses with him.
I was shaking, so bad. It's horrible.
And right before he gets his picture with Charlene, some girl gives him a present, and it's nerds rope.
So, he yells at me "HOLD ON. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!" I was laughing. He like, held his hand out and everything.
So blah, blah. We're in line, we see JCook, but we couldn't get a picture with him.

Um, so we get in there. And we get in the crowd for Sing It Loud.
Caleb and KDirty were on the side for them, and I made mad eye contact with the both of them.
Sing It Loud was fucking AMAZING, no lie.
Then, the crowd got insanee in between Sing It Loud and Hit the Lights.
After like, a song and a half of Hit the Lights, Charlene couldn't breathe, so I freaked out at the crowd and their moms to let her out.
We chilled on the side for the rest of Hit the Lights and all of FTSK.
OMFG. FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS.
They played Becky Starz and Men In Black, omg.
it was amazing.
No lie.

Then Cobra came on, and we went in the crowd and I almost punched 3948934 people.
But I refrained.
I put up a heart and Alex put one up back :D
Gabe and Ryland were hilarious, and Vicky is BEAUTIFUL.

all in all, good night :D
